Sameeha Rehman
CEO
Sameeha has a strong background in public affairs, with a degree in Law, Politics & International Relations, and experience as a Chief of Staff in the UK Parliament. She brings business experience as an MBA Candidate at Imperial College London, founding a successful marketing company and an award-winning social enterprise. She has extensive experience working in the third sector, particularly with asylum seekers and refugees, supporting the Scottish Refugee Council, Glasgow Afghan United, and utilising her COSCA and TEFL qualifications to provide ESOL and counselling support to New Scots. She was awarded Scottish Young Achiever of the Year 2019, the Young Scot Enhancing Education Award 2022 and a runner-up for Scotswoman of the Year 2022.
Fergus Andrew

Fergus has taught English for over five years in several countries, including: Spain, Mexico, Ecuador and Turkey. He has a degree in English language and a master's in TESOL. Having completed the CELTA course in Spain, he is currently working towards completion of the DELTA.
Dinushriya Spybey

Dinushriya has over 13 years of experience teaching ESOL in and around Glasgow in both college and community sectors. She also has experience of working with and managing volunteers in various roles. She has a Joint Honours degree in French and Psychology, is CELTA-trained and recently completed the MEd TESOL module "Technology Enhanced Language Learning".
Vikki Rowland

Vikki has been teaching English for almost 13 years, in a wide range of roles and contexts. She is DELTA-qualified and has experience teaching and teacher training in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. She has also recently completed the PDA in Literacies Teaching and is currently gaining valuable experience in the third sector while getting to know the communities in Glasgow – her new home city.
Jaclynne Smith
Development Worker – English in the Community Project
Jaclynne is a CELTA-qualified tutor with over six years teaching experience. She taught EFL in China and Spain, and focused on ESOL in the community in England and Scotland. Jaclynne’s educational background stems from music and performance which she feels informs her creative and expressive approach to language learning. Jaclynne loves her work within the community of Glasgow where she aims to create meaningful connections between learners, tutors and the English language.
Allen Chalmers
Finance and Administration Manager
Allen has a degree in Accountancy and has worked with a variety of nonprofit organisations. During this time, he implemented finance systems and conducted the organisations’ user training. More recently, he gained his TEFL qualification and spent 6 years teaching English in China, India, Thailand and Vietnam.
Ellie Glasgow
Development Worker - English in the Community Project
Ellie is a CELTA-qualified tutor. She has a background in education and communications work. Having taught English in Asia and South America, she returned to her home city of Glasgow and worked in language teaching and development for various organisations. She is particularly interested in issues around inequalities in both education and wider society, and how to reduce these.
John Weeks
Development Worker - ESOL & Numeracy
Since completing his CELTA in 2015, John has taught English in Spain, England, and Scotland in a variety of contexts including language schools, community centres, primary schools, and business schools. He has been involved in ESOL provision since 2018 when he started volunteering for Borderlands, in Bristol. John has a degree in Creative Music Technology and enjoys making music and learning languages in his spare time.
